MPP Sylvia Jones, Dufferin - Caledon

Eternal Father, we call upon you to bless Sylvia Jones, the MPP for Dufferin – Caledon as she endeavors to give direction to the Official Opposition to the Provincial Government of Ontario.  We ask that you would give her grace and authority that would bless all those she comes in contact with.  May you bless her family, and as she represents the people of her riding, may she be able to extend your love to each one.  Amen! 

On June 12, Sylvia Jones was elected to a third term as Dufferin-Caledon’s MPP. Sylvia was first elected as the MPP for Dufferin-Caledon on October 10, 2007. Sylvia served as PC Critic for the Ministry of Community and Social Services, and in 2009, PC Leader Tim Hudak gave Sylvia the added responsibility of Critic for the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Her private member’s Bill 94, which would have ensured that Ontario Disability Support Program payments could not be clawed back as a result of Registered Disability Support Program contributions, was eventually adopted by the Liberal government through regulation. 

Sylvia and her husband David have lived in Dufferin County for 25 years, and are the proud parents of two children.
