MPP: Michael Mantha - Algoma-Manitoulin


Father, we thank you for MPP Michael Mantha. Thank you for his efforts to seek to improve the quality of life for Ontario residents. Continue to encourage him as he seeks to bring about changes that are important to him. May he also find the time to be revitalized and refreshed by his relationship with family and friends. Michael Mantha is the current MPP for Algoma-Manitoulin. In the legislature, Michael has been a strong voice for rural healthcare, safe road conditions, northern jobs and affordability. Michael has spent his career standing up for northern workers and improving life for northern families.

Before being elected in October 2011, Michael worked with MP Carol Hughes advocating for constituents. Michael also worked with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities helping displaced workers access social services and training; as well as a Labour Representative for 17 years and spent 4 years with United Steelworkers Local 1-2693.


Michael lives in Elliot Lake with his wife Pauline and their two sons.
