As the current chair for the Standing Committee on Social
Policy as well as critic for the Environment and Climate Change and Energy,
Honourable Tabuns needs great knowledge and wisdom to help fulfil his role in
the Legislative Assembly. We ask for credible influences in his life. We thank
You for his service in our province. We pray for how You will give him courage
and strength along with the needed wisdom. We pray for his protection. May his
family be blessed and encouraged that their sacrifice in sharing him with the
public will be most worthwhile. May he know health and strength for the task.In

Peter Tabuns is a distinguished community leader and a dedicated environmentalist.
A Toronto City Councillor from 1990 to 1997, he helped keep valuable services public and championed smoke-free restaurants and bars. As Executive Director of Greenpeace, he strongly advocated for increased environmental protections and for the adoption of the Kyoto Protocol.
Since his election to Queen’s Park in 2006, Peter has been a leader on a number of issues ranging from energy efficiency, to keeping people safe from toxins, to integrating new Canadians into the economy. As the Ontario NDP’s critic for energy and education, he has led the charge towards creating a new energy economy and has fought against skyrocketing hydro rates.
You can count on Peter Tabuns, an experienced advocate for his community, to continue to get results for the people of Toronto-Danforth.
