Dear Heavenly Father!
We come to you today on behalf of Cindy Forster. Thank you Father for your hand upon
her life, giving direction as a part of the New Democratic Party of
Ontario. We pray that you would
encourage and help her in all the deliberations that she is a part of, and that
you would give her divine wisdom concerning the roles she plays in this
parliament. May your name be glorified
through her life we pray. Amen!
Cindy is a lifelong Welland resident, former Mayor and Registered Nurse. In 1994, Cindy became active in municipal politics. She served two terms as a municipal Councillor on Welland City Council. In 2000, she was elected Mayor for the city of Welland and, in 2006, was elected Welland's representative to Niagara Regional Council.
She is currently the Member of Provincial Parliament for the Welland riding and holds the role of critic for Municipal Affairs and Housing. She was also appointed Deputy House Leader.
