MPP Steve Clark, Leeds-Grenville

Lord it’s a privilege to pray for our leaders in government and those in authority over us.  Today we lift up before your throne MPP Steve Clark.  Lord we ask that You renew his vision and passion, bless him with health and strength as he continues to serve as member. Help him to cast his cares upon You, and You will lighten his load, show him things that he does not know. We pray that he would be a man of good character and integrity and that decisions that he makes would reflect wise counsel and wisdom from You. We pray for favour, peace as he works tirelessly for his riding and Ontario.  We bring before You Lord, his wife and five children we ask that You protect them and keep them in your loving care, may they all know Your presence in their lives. We pray for his team and support staff bless and strengthen them too Lord.  We pray these things in the mighty name of Jesus.  Amen

Steve Clark was first elected MPP for Leeds-Grenville in a March, 4, 2010, by-election. It was a landslide victory by a 66 per cent margin.  He was subsequently re-elected in the October 6, 2011 provincial election with 64 per cent of the vote, the second-highest margin in Ontario. In the past session of the Ontario Legislative Assembly, Steve served as the Ontario PC Caucus Deputy House Leader and Critic for Community Safety and Correctional Services.
Steve gained attention across Canada in 1982 when, at the age of 22 and just out of university, he was elected Mayor of the City of Brockville. This gained him the title of Youngest Mayor of Canada and a notation in the Who’s Who of Canada. Steve served three terms as mayor and, during his tenure, was also the President of the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.  Steve also worked in the media and Internet development for 14 years with the Brockville Recorder and Times newspaper and RipNet.

Steve is married to Deanna. Together they are the proud parents of a blended family of five: Mitchell, Caitlin, Jordan, Alex and Meghan.
