MPP Hon Tracy MacCharles, Pickering-Scarborough East



Lord we praise you for Tracy and how she cheerfully goes about her work and is so pleasant to be around. She is a problem solver and we thank you for her insight into the challenges. We bless this and pray for her job to be made easier by those she works with and who work for her. We thank you for her accomplishments and pray success and prosperity for her in all she puts her hand to. May you bless her family and all her relationships in her life at this time.

Tracy MacCharles was born and raised in Pickering–Scarborough East. Tracy currently has a dual appointment as both Minister of Government and Consumer Services and Minister Responsible for Accessibility. The Minister serves as a member of the Legislation and Regulations Cabinet Committee and the Minister’s Tables for Transportation, Transit and Infrastructure as well as Poverty Reduction and Social Inclusion. Elected to the Ontario Legislature on October 6, 2011, Tracy has served as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Children & Youth Services and Vice-Chair of the Cabinet Committee on Health, Education and Social Policy.

In February 2013, Tracy was appointed Minister of Consumer Services, by the new Ontario government.  She was appointed Minister of Children and Youth Services and the Minister Responsible for Women's Issues on June 24, 2014. On January 12, 2017 she was appointed to her current role as Minister of Government and Consumer Services. Tracy holds an interdepartmental honours degree in Business and Public Administration from Brock University. Tracy and her husband Stephen Little live in Pickering with their children Travis and Genevieve.
